They are also beating the anti meat pro plant based version of Eatwell drum. Also the Low fat, its the sugar stoopid, not carbs mantra. so this is a small step for diabetes-kind. the dieticians are still riding the gravy train. The nutritionist on CNN does exactly the same eat vegan dahl with a flatbread etc.The shift seems very minor. They still place reducing dietary fats front and centre as the required response. Only after that do they allow that reducing carbs may also be helpful for some people, only in the short to medium term. Even then, it’s only simple, refined carbohydrates they will admit to being a problem.
Just had a look at the recipes, oh dear! Many had more carbs per serving than I eat per day! Some had stupid ideas (like the previously mentioned salmon bake with added caster sugar) or seemed okay until they mention eating it with naan or flatbread.
Agree, there is a different theme to this article and indeed, congratulations to Mohammed.I agree with all your comments about the dodgy diets they're mentioning.
What I really meant was that they featured a guy who has had success with his change of lifestyle first. In other words that was front and centre in the story.
Only subsequently, later in the piece, did they mess it up and kowtow to Messrs Tate, Lyle and Kellogg, and any other murdering swine we choose to mention!
