My goodness, I seem to be making many threads!
Just a quick query- I've reduced my insulin by about half, maybe two thirds, in the last few days to correspond to less carbohydrate. Blood sugars are already a slight bit better (not dramatic, which is good-wanna do this slowly) but I know that insulin is also responsible for bringing potassium into the cells of the body, and also it struck me that insulin could be required to do a whole lot of other things I am unaware of. A dodgy potassium level, very low or very high, can lead to cardiac arrest afaik.
Does this need to be considered when there is a significant change in insulin levels?
Does anyone else feel like they need a biochemical degree to manage diabetes?!
