Hi
I discovered I was pre diabetic just over 12 months ago. Also my husband is diabetic.
We began a low carb diet soon after finding this site. We have both managed to lose quite a lot of weight.
I am now no longer pre diabetic which i am thrilled about. I have normal blood sugars now. :D
My question is what should i do now. I know i cannot return to my previous high carb diet but I am unsure what to do next. Any help would be appreciated

Thank you Wendy

Don't change a thing Wendy and just keep your diet as it is! :D

As stated, keep doing what you know is working well for you. It is a lifestyle and I am sure reading your post that you know you cannot go back to high carb foods other than on the odd occasion, a treat once in a while. Best avoided if you can but well....we are all Human  Plenty of choices out there.

Low or reduced carbs has to be the way forward for many, especially those that are on diet only. Even those on medications can benefit as well, reduce the medication, avoid any complications. Avoid the peaks and troughs and eat sensibly according to your own likes and dislikes. It works....... :)
However, there are those that can control Bg levels and Diabetes very well who do sometimes partake of higher carb foods, testing is the only way to find out what they do to you.

Nice to hear about your improvement..... :)
