Hi everyone,
Apologise if I have done this wrong - never posted on a forum before.
I was told I was prediabetic nearly 2 years ago with a HBA1C of 45. Saw a diabetic nurse and explained about the numerous symptoms I had, which I was told you cannot have as you are not diabetic. I did say the reason I wanted screening was because of the symptoms and my father is diabetic as was his father. I have not been called for another HBA1C test, I still have these symptoms which seem to be getting worse/more often - like fatigue (cant seem to recuperate after time off), thirst (at times just want to keep my mouth in a bowl of cold water), dry mouth, dry itching skin, strange stabbing pain in feet comes and goes, burning feet, numbish toes and fingers at times - sitting down is starting to become so annoying due to pain/discomfort, bladder and bowel issues (frequency, incontinence, constipation, loose etc). I do have a meter and most 2 hour post meals is between 8 - 10.4, not really sure what it should be. Was the diabetic nurse right that I cant have any diabetic symptoms as I am not diabetic? I get so depressed at times and the 3 hour commute to work each way is really tiring me out with all this.
I appreciate your time in reading this
