It appears that my blood glucose readings before I have lunch yesterday and today are different 5.2 & 6.8. I can't understand why as I didn't eat breakfast yesterday or today. Last night I had a salad as the I did the day before. Nothing has changed. I'm confused as to why this should happen. I know it's not much, but still I'd like to find out why.

I can understand after lunch these can fluctuate because of what I eat, but before? I've got some learning to do. I've another hour before I test again for after lunch. It's a bit scary all these different numbers. I'll just have to get used to it.

On the plus side, I made some crispy curly kale today with olive oil, salt and pepper and garlic. I have a green tongue! I will do this again but add cauliflower - vegetable crisps :)

You'll probably have to get used to being confused because this happens all the time. The most likely answer is that missing breakfast has caused your liver to supply glucose to keep you going and you are reading that. It is not wise to miss meals since the liver dump can have unpredictable results when you expect normality.

I need serious help anyone I tried to commit suicide I've times over diabetes my meter all over and don't where I stand I am willing to move in with someone if they could check my food and meter and see if what I'm eating is ok I can't take it anymore

Have you spoken to your GP, terrier? They could help with your diabetes, and also if you continue to feel so down.

I agree, go to your doctor on Monday and tell him/her how you feel and ask for help.

Confusion over numbers is something we all get. This disease is a complete mystery, but @Squire Fulwood is quite right. You probably had a liver dump due to missing breakfast and having a very long fast. You would do better to have something at breakfast. Also, the difference between yesterday and today could be because you had a bit more exercise today, on an empty tummy, so your liver will certainly have dumped, or maybe a bath or shower during the morning, extra housework, several cups of tea/coffee, anything along those lines. There is also meter inaccuracy to take into account. None of our meters are precise. They work within a 15% plus or minus tolerance. If ever you do work out why, please tell me!

~Did you have different activity levels? The slightest thing can make the biggest difference, but in fact the results are not a major difference.
Stress, exercise, even hot weather can make a difference, it is not just simply doing the same thing everyday=the same result, Don't worry too much it sounds like you are on the ball and doing great :)

Thank you everybody for your words I've been put on antidepressants by doctor and I know if need any help I can always come back on here Thankyou

Kim , I have a very evil liver - it waits till I think I've got some nice steady lowish levels in the morning then wakes up and decides - AHA!! Lets give her a fright with a nice big dump today...

It's a bit like a low battery level getting recharged...:D It can be disconcerting, but I've learned not to let it bother me now. My time to start worrying would be if levels rose and stayed higher longish term.
