Hi all, I am 29 years old and am beginning to start my journey to conceive. My hba1c is 58 which is 10mmol/L off where they want it to be but I am struggling to address stubborn after-meal highs… especially 2 hours after my evening meal, my blood sugar rises significantly and sometimes stays in that range for quite some time despite correcting… I eat an okayish diet but sometimes I think I can only get to 48mmol if I completely give up food altogether…my diabetes team are a bit MIA right now so I would love to know some tips on how I can tackle these post meal spikes… I am open to adjusting my diet or anything really xx

Hi @bumblebeeshoney and welcome to the forums.

How confident are you that your evening carb ratio and carb counting is correct?

I agree with @90lee that pre bolusing may help.

Given that you want to conceive, any chance your clinic would give you pump therapy?
