The National Diabetes Support Team are holding an Open Space event to share ideas and discuss how they can successfully support a woman’s journey through pregnancy from the pre-conception through to postnatal phase. The event will take place on Thursday 4 December at the Church House Conference Centre in Westminster, London from 9.30am - 4.30pm.

We are particularly keen to gain the views of women with diabetes (and their partners) on how services could be improved. We are looking for women who have had gestational diabetes, who have Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and have been pregnant in the past and also women with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes who are planning to start a family in the future.

If you are interested in attending or would like to have a chat about the day, please contact Kerrianne O'Rourke at Diabetes UK.

Phone: 0207 424 1000(x1210)
Email: [email protected]

Any travel costs incurred in attending the event will be reimbursed.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

People that feel just because diabates is a life-threatening "illness" it should be treated with kid gloves and nobody is allowed to have a laugh. My humour got me through abuse, near death experiences, serious and debilitating illnesses and lifelong pain and deformity - why give up the thing that works??
I truly don't think anyone would want to hear about my experiences ... it took a lot of psychotherapy and medication to feel anything close to human again ... so, thanks but not for me - wish you sucess. J/x
