I was wondering if I could draw on others experiences where possible.
I'm currently 27+4 weeks pregnant and in the past 4 days I've found that the insulin regime that I've been on for the past 3 weeks has become too much for me. I'm aware that insulin should be steadily increasing in pregnancy, which it has done since around 16 weeks but these past few days have been a different story. I've been going low and staying low, meals that would normally make me spike haven't been and after about 2 hours my levels start plummeting.
I contacted my dsn but had a trainee nurse call me back who was really dismissive and rude. They have told me to reduce my basal and bolus ratio which I'm doing but was wondering if anybody else has experienced this and it hasn't been due to placenta issues?
Thanks for reading!
