I don't understand, you defy the facts? Where do you live? In central essex, I waited 3 months for an appointment. That is NOT acceptable.

"Greener, go private. I'm sure they would love to relieve you of your money - problem solved.:D"

Do you use the Julian or Gregorian calendar..?

Greener - would you confirm whether you have type 2 diabetes (as you have said), or prediabetes (as you have said).

Another NHS joke:

The right of treatment starts at 18 weeks!!!!
Five months to start treatment for non-emergency issues!!!!
And you praise NHS!!!
I cannot find more blind biased and hypocritic people

@greener Non-urgent treatment is exactly that - non-urgent. If your need is urgent you will be seen quicker. There is a 2 week maximum for suspected cancer for instance. You can also use choose and book and access various hospitals (and some may be private) to get an earlier appointment. With the NHS, we are all covered to the same extent no matter what our employment status is or how rich we are. The USA system cannot say that. You have been told that you can access private treatment if you are prepared to pay and get your non-urgent issues dealt with quicker as in the USA. I see no reason to continue this thread and am closing it.
