I just found out I have been spilling protein in my urine the doctor likes it could also be an bladder infection any ideas on what one it is my a1c was 7.2 and I had my letter pubilsh in sweet magazine in the august september one and happy canadian thanksgiving :?:

Your Doctor needs to do more than 'think' it might be a bladder infection
You are diabetic, your kidneys are vulnerable and they need to be SURE about why there is protein
I suggest you get back to him and have a comparative test done

Get the doctor to check out your kidney function, especially if you have no symptoms of baldder infection.

a few months ago, every month my docs would say i had protein in my urine, they test me countless times for bladder infections but it always comes back clear.. should i just leave it?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Please excuse me for shouting but as others have already said, as a diabetic your kidneys are especially vulnerable, and protein in the urine can be a sign that things are not as they should be. It's good that you don't have a bladder infection but that shouldn't be the end of the story, your doc needs to get to why your kidneys are leaking. DEMAND a referral to a nephrologist if he/she continues to sit on his/her a**e.
