Hey, could anyone help me to low carb diet. I mean how much insulin should i inject for example one raw egg. Hows the calculation per protein grams?

The thing with diabetes is that we are all different.
I think I have read for some the insulin to protein ratio is half that with carbs.
But only when very few or no carbs are eaten with the protein.
As always, you need lots of testing and some trial and error to work out what works for you.
You may find some protein needs more insulin than others.

Yeah, but ive had few times when i eat omlette, dont inject anything and that BG raises like hell althoygh omlette shouldnt have no carbs
Have you had anything in the omlette if not not maybe try 1/2 of what you would use for carbs its trial and error as said i dont inject for protien how much of a rise did you get and how long did it last

It was like: 5am my BG was 16mmol/l so i did 8 units novorapid, ate 4 eggs and protein shake(powder had no carbs) at 7am (2hurs later) BG was 11mmol/l. And then walked 2 km to work and at 8am my BG was 14mmol/l . This kind of phenomen have happened couple of times.

I don't directly bolus for protein before eating it, but I have noticed that my insulin to carb ratio is different for dinner than it is for lunch or breakfast. For dinner I need more insulin to cover the carbs to be consumed. I'm thinking that's because of the protein (mostly eggs and lots of cheese) I had eaten earlier in the day that has finally broken down and is circulating in my blood. Everyone is different as this forum proves, making diabetes a very interesting contribution to personal consciousness raising.

I've found powdered protein spikes my sugars.

@JAT1 it is not unusual to have different insulin to carb ratios.
Typically the breakfast one is higher as a follow on to DP.

Personally I’d be waiting for the 16 to come down before eating.

Did you do a basal test after your previous posts?

Um lil update. Yesterda before bed my BG was 5.6. Perfectly fine, was happy. So i did 12 lantus and i thought it might go low at night so i ate 2 biscuits and some pistachio nuts. Maybe total 30g carbs. Then like ...... woke up at 5am and BG was 18. That seems not possible counting even the carbs i ate before sleep

I would definitely put that down to your pre bed snack. Bear in mind, pistachios are 28% carbs so you may have had more than 30g carbs.
At 5.6, I would have, at most, 10g carbs without insulin. To be honest, I would be very happy to sleep at 5.6 without any snacks but I understand we are all different.

The Lantus wouldn’t affect your glucose rise unless your basal rate is incorrect. The amount you ate before bed would. What made you think you might go low? I would not dare eat 2 biscuits without a bolus injection, unless below 4.
30g carbs with a basic rise of 3 units per 10 carbs would give a rise of 9 added to your 5.6 would give you 14.6. Not far off the 18 allowing for an early morning rise. If you hadn’t eaten you would probably have woken around 8. As @ helensaramay states. We are all different!

Take into account also the “dawn spike” which happens for me at around 5am. It could be the same for you.

I can literally go to sleep with no food and with near hypo level blood glucose but still wake up in the 7-8 range of m/mmols.
