I'm thinking about having a pump break has anyone else done this if so how did you manage? Have been on an insulin pump now for more than 10 years and just fancy having a change for a while.

Looking back on your previous posts, it seems you've had more than one pump break previously. How did you get on then?

I got on ok when I've had pump breaks previously it's just at the moment the pump only seems to work well when I use it in my stomach and can't keep using it all the time.

I had an enforced pump break, and struggled with mdi, especially overnight, as repeated fasting basal tests have proven that my basal requirements vary. The pump manages this well.

Hi @steveo4 I wouldn't consider a pump break at all, but that's just me, would never go back to MDI, it works brilliantly for me and have given me my life back to some degree. Unless you're experiencing issues with pumping why change it ? What's the issue with the pump ?

I just feel that I need a break from it after being attached to it all the time. If I had a tubeless pump then maybe I'd feel differently. Have had pump breaks in the past and then went back on it after a few weeks.

Ok let's look at this differently then, you say you feel attached to it all the time, how do you carry your pump and what do you do when you're asleep ?
