Yesterday I became the proud owner of the insight pump!!
My dsn said that I should get it insured. Are there any pump users that have insured their pumps?
Have you added it to your house insurance or gone to a specialist company?
Thanks :)

Mine is insured on house contents, make sure it's listed as a separate item due to it's value. If you don't insure it and it gets damaged you foot the bill unless insured. Obviously pumps going wrong comes under pump warranty.

mine was much cheaper on he house insurance as well. In my case it did not need to be identified specifically as it was covered under the value of personal posessions we have incuded which would cover loss outside the home.

All they wanted was a letter from the hospital confirming that the cost would be my responsibilty

Mine's also under my contents insurance. I had to list it as a separate high value item.

How much would you put for value of a pump I've no idea? but I'd tell them it was a priceless item !

The price depends on your pump. I have the insight its value is £3000. I have it on my home insurance named separately cost me 79p more a month
