aha the joysDay 3 of pumping and so far all going ok - weirdly being pregnant really helped on switchover day. I had stopped the Lantus the day before and expected to have to do a bit of correcting before we got the pump going, but my honeymoon is now so strong that I woke up at 4.7 with no insulin on board! If only I could stay 14 weeks pregnant indefinitely, I wouldn't need a pump
Managed my first cannula change today and so far all seems to be working, and I'm loving not having to do so many injections. Next step: basal tests
This is where the libre has been invaluable - I've done lots of blood tests too in the last few days but it's wonderful peace of mind to be able to see it all ticking along in the interim. And the pump has already eliminated my nightly hypos which were causing me sleepless nights. Feeling much more refreshed!
Yep, same here, haven't had a night time hypo since I've been on the pump since last September!! Sleeping much better too! This is where the libre has been invaluable - I've done lots of blood tests too in the last few days but it's wonderful peace of mind to be able to see it all ticking along in the interim.
