Wow! That's something I didn't know about. Is it just an app for phones though? I only have a laptopHi I don’t test now after breakfast or lunch - both small very very low carb meals for me _ unless I introduce something new in which case I would. I just continue to test as I wake up and before and after my main meal as that’s when I eat more and sometimes experiment a bit more but I’ve been doing this self testing stuff for 11 months now and did test 6 or 7 times a day until fairly recently. My hbaca1 in November 2017 was right down to 33 (97 on diagnosis) and last month 30 so not as much need for me. As you know it’s expensive too! I also enter my results on the free mysugr app which gives an hbaca1 prediction based on your readings and this is more accurate the more readings you put in and can be encouraging to see this.
It’s in the App Store either for google play for an android phone or tablet or the Apple App Store for an Apple based phone or tablet. So unless it’s an app based tablet computer which could download android or Apple apps presume answer may be no. But it would depend on system you’re using I think.Wow! Awww a pity I won't be able to access it then. I hope they come up with one to suit my laptop soon! It’s in the App Store either for google play for an android phone or tablet or the Apple App Store for an Apple based phone or tablet. The basic version is free but you can pay a few quid for an upgrade. I’ve been more than happy with basic free version and my last predicted hbaca1 on mysugr was 31.5 and my actual test was 30 so not far out. It’s more accurate the more info you give it I believe.
This is something I struggle with too. I'm afraid the future is with the phones. Not good for people like me who have laptops or desktops and like to be able to see everything large and clear. My Fitbit is supposed to sync with my desktop, but does it heck! I have to sync with a phone or tablet, and only then can I look at my stats on the big screen.Awww a pity I won't be able to access it then. I hope they come up with one to suit my laptop soon!
I’ve never named my monster ! but find the app a really useful tool.I’ve downloaded this app today. It’s a useful place to store results and I can sync it to my health app on the phone so it has captured my earlier results.
Not sure about it’s attempts to make it fun: it turns your diabetes into a little monster and invites you to give it a name. I’ve called mine “gubbins”.
Hopefully it will be useful.
I have the same problem with small screens Alexandra. I don't have a smartphone or an ipad etc ... just my laptop. This is something I struggle with too. I'm afraid the future is with the phones. I do love my tablet for reading books. Because the screen is lit up, one is not dependant on a good reading light, a great advantage when travelling. And almost all books that are out of copyright are available free from Project Gutenberg: http://www.gutenberg.org.I also have the same problem. I only use my phone or tablet for the internet when I'm on holiday, otherwise it is my PC.
