Can someone tell me the carbs per 100g of Coconut flour - the packet I've just bought doesn't have any info.

paragliderpete said:Hi. I use Tiana brand of Coconut flour , and it has 21.7g carb per 100g of flour. As others have said you tend to use very little flour in any recipy. My favourite is cheese and bacon muffins. 1.8g per muffin.
Have a look on Tiana web site. They have alot of recipies. Be careful some do have added sugar or honey

I buy my ccn flour from Indian shops & don't always have food analysis on the packet.
I've just seen detail on the "East End" brand:
per 100 g
604 kcals
protein 5.6 g
carb 6.4 g
fat 62 g
that leaves fibre 26 g
There is obviously a difference in whether the 'flour' has been defatted. Dessicated coconut has the analysis:
Serving Size 1 oz
Amount Per Serving
Calories from Fat 165 Calories 187
Total Fat 18.29g
Saturated Fat 16.221g
Polyunsaturated Fat 0.2g
Monounsaturated Fat 0.778g

Sodium 10 mg
Potassium 154 mg
Total Carbohydrate 6.7g
Dietary Fiber 4.6g
Sugars 2.08g
Protein 1.95g
Per 100 g
kcals 636
fat 65 g
protein 7 g
carb 7 g (total 23 g)
fibre 16 g
