Yes, no . . . Thoughts and personal experience - please.

With 64 grams of carbs per 100 I'd expect it would spike me.
Well, yes, me too. I read the Carb % and thought, no, not for me. Have you tried it at all? My Pharmacist, with who I've got a great DT2 pro relationship, was inviting me to have a go.

Is anybody else with real World experience?

And has your pharmacist got any real world knowledge (ie testing) or basing that opinion on the push for superfoods and GI?

I doubt she’d be able to push me into anything I wouldn’t want to consume. She’s known me for far too long and recognises my hard won, successes and trip ups with T2.

So, has anybody else, hereabouts, had experience with the Q?

Ah, could you explain a bit more? I’m learning.:)

I have it in a salad with kale, peppers, onion, feta (and probably a few other ingredients I've forgotten.) If I inject for it (probably having about 20g to 30g of carbs at a time) it doesn't seem to spike me. So I guess the rate of action of the carbs agrees with my fast acting insulin. It's actually one of my favourite salads and is one of the reasons I grow kale in the garden.

And it seems to bulk up well so 20g to 30g of carbs worth is enough. But maybe too many carbs for those of you who aren't on the most relaxed low carb diets?

I add it to salads so it always comes "dressed" with oil, vinegar and plenty of fibre which may help blunt a spike? I'm personally able work a Tbsp into my carb allowance with no issues.
I tried flaked quinoa once, cooked like porridge. Didn't care for it that way at all. I personally think it's nicer cooked whole like rice and used reasonably sparingly.

With 64 grams of carbs per 100 I'd expect it would spike me. But it depends on the amount you eat and of how much carbs your body can handle.
That's 100 g uncooked though I think?? Correct me if I'm wrong.
I cook mine like rice and it fluffs up....100 g would end up weighing about 300 g cooked.

It would, yes. But it's still close to the amount of carbs in spaghetti and rice, which weigh much more cooked than uncooked.
I think portion size is key. :)

think you’ve misread my post. I wasn’t suggesting she was trying to push you into anything. More she had been convinced by a media push quinoa is a superfood.
