slaterk said:Well done mate. I was similar a few years ago. I was very unfit and a friend asked if I fancied doing a 10k with him. I started by running 2 mins and walking 6, 3 times, which would knacker me out. I persevered, went to run 3, walk 5, then run 4, walk 4 etc. I completed the 10k but was exhausted. I carried on going and since then have completed many 10ks, the Edinburgh Marathon and several triathlons, including London Olympic distance and last year a half ironman. Then I fell ill, was then diagnosed T1 and have only just started running and cycling again. It's still my dream to complete a full ironman, perhaps in a year or 2 and have entered next year's London marathon (we'll see if I get in). I can only reiterate that if I can do it, anyone can! Since being on insulin life has been tough and the times I feel my best are after a good run or bike ride!
wow, great, id love to progress onto bigger and better and I love your positive attitude towards the futurevery much good luck
