Reaction to Lantus

Has anyone had an allergic reaction to long lasting insulin. I tried Trsiba last year and stopped after one month. Recently changed to Lantus and again after 5/6 weeks am experiencing blocked and running nose at night and intensely itchy eyes. My sleep is really broken and I’m thinking of switching back to Levemir. But my control with Lantus is so much better….

Hi, I've used lantus for years.

However. Prolonged exposure in AC (air conditioned) environments, (shops/cars.) Can give these symptoms? Dry throat too?

I personally have trouble sleeping in an AC room. It cools the environment by removing moisture from the air?

If you are absolutely certain that the lantus is the issue, you could try going on a pump?

I believe @Hopeful34 may have had this issue?

The cause could be from other things. It is interesting that you have these symptoms at night-time when you are using 24-hr insulin. I would suggest taking an antihistamine tablet before bed.
 
I had a reaction to Lantus and it's had to be split into two injections a day to deal with it as I had it with a itch and that was after injection on it so I am always the same but not as much and my novorapid I'm fine with so I'm just having it with the long acting insulin
