Hi, to cut a long story short I've just found out my fiancé of 12 years has been unfaithful on more than 1 accession, this made me physically sick and very upset and I've not been able to get my sugars under control ever since I found out, could this be the reason they are so high and how can I get them to come down? I've not really eaten much today (I know I should but I just feel sick) I've had my insulin as usual but nothing is working.

hey @Trace D
that is a gut wrencher and is totally understandable for your bloods to be sky high

for the short term it might be best to treat yourself using sick day rules
link here https://www.stockport.nhs.uk/documents/PIL/50647_MED127.pdf

if you are not eating and stress is really high your bloods won't behave.

I know we can't help with the relationship stuff but we can help you to keep the D in it's place

big hugs !!!!!!

Yes, stress can totally mess with your blood sugars. Add to that a lack of sleep and you can be struggling.

Prioritise yourself. You need to concentrate on you and your health. Keep testing and be kind to yourself. X

Hi @Trace D Sorry to hear about your situation, not surprised your running high with the stress of this.

As @azure has said look after number 1, taking care of yourself is so important, put your health first and try and eat something, you need to support your health, and definately be kind to yourself, I have been in the same situation as you and I saw a doctor who told me to always listen to my intuition, I knew something was going on but I was trying to ignore it. It will get better and although it's hard to put yourself first, please try to, sending you a big hug x

Thank you everyone I've got our daughter to keep me busy and she keeps me going, bloods are still a bit all over the place but better than yesterday, thank you for all your support. X
