Hi All

When I had my first session with my diabetic nurse, she told me to steer clear of lagers etc - no problem as I don't drink the stuff - but I was OK to drink Real Ale (and Vodka).

Over the last few weeks, my BS have been higher than normal (11 - 19) and I'm now wondering if Real Ale is actually OK?

Thanks all...

Check out the nutritional info for your particular beer. It's likely posted somewhere. if not contact the brewery.

I put generic real ale into my carb counter, and the results are:

Per pint
Calories 250
Carbs 0
Fiber 0
Sugar 0
Fat 0
Protein 0

I think it may depend on which real ale you have, this is just a generic answer.

I wonder where those 250 Cals come from if it has 0 carb, 0 fat and 0 protein?
