Feeling fed up today 60 in November type 1 since i was 27 . I lost my license and my car mechanics job, I was told I would never work again, Ihave found a part time job in a small lock company.
My wife of 34 years has all so suffered with cancer hart problems and a fungus on the lungs.
I know no one can help us but need to get it of my chest

Hi @neil2 - you're in he right place to off load.. Well done on getting your part time job, never ever listen to anyone who tells you can't do something, it's always wonderful to prove people wrong though..

@neil2
You have every right to feel fed up. Well done on your pt job, work gives you a reason to get up in the morning.
Sorry to hear of your wife's ill health, that, of course, must be very worrying for you and I do hope that her health improves very soon. Best wishes.

I can understand your feeling.
However, a part time job in a small lock company is more than whoever told you you would never work again expected so I'd try to focus on that positive and look for more.

Good luck.

Hi @neil2 . Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear of all your troubles. Wishing you and your wife all the best going forward.
I'm sure that if we can help we will, if only in moral support.
You on the other hand have helped this site greatly already. Hopefully the people who post on here complaining that there latest BS is 1.0 higher than it should be and are really concerned and do they need to seek professional help will maybe realise just how fortunate they are.
You sound strong, you sound like a fighter and I'm thinking you're a survivor.
Good luck.

@neil2, Hi this is Steve, Alias Squeekyboy. I sometimes feel that way myself, totally naffed off with life the way it is, with health problems mounting up & although I have a reasonably good job, there is talk of redundancy coming in October this year & I'm not sure if I'd be able to get another job so easily, due to my not so good health. Anyhow, I'm sorry to hear about your troubles but if you feel like having a good moan anytime, why not give me a call on here or PM me, you never know, we may come up with some ideas we could try out. I do think that your little lock job is really great & that turkey who said you would not get a job...well that's mud in there eye isn't it & good on you for that. Keep up the good work. There is always someone on here that can cheer us up, so keep in touch...you & your wife, are not alone. Steve:)

Its Monday morning thank you all for your kind words I still feel fed up but not as fed up.I look at mrs Neil and all though I wish she was healthy I am glad she with me thanks again for your words.
