I am type 2 since diagnosis in 2000. I have just developed a red rash around my ankles and halfway up my legs. What's going on...and treatment. It's painless and none itchy.

best get your Dr to take a look .. are you on any meds ? I have something called an aspirin rash on my lower legs .. it causes me no problems, but you must get yours looked to be sure there is nothing going wrong.

please go to a doctor already today it can be a dangerous infection called erysipelas, I have had it 3 times in my scalps and face... first time I didnt think it was dangerous and didnt seek help, but had almost 41degrees celsius in fever in the middle of the night and had to take a cold shower and all close of and open the window to get it down..
usually one get its in legs or head : https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=e...hUKEwjokcGWyZHRAhUBtywKHX8lA2kQ_AUIBigB&dpr=1

No one can give you medical advice, if it's a problem go see your doctor.
As above. I get a red rash around my ankles but thats in the summer when i can get rather warm and sweaty whilst wearing boots for work. If i had posted that without any of the information given as i have i could quite possibly been given some poor albeit innocent advice leaving me worried because i may have some rare infection contracted from the Congo basin having watched good old David Attenborough doing what he does best on the BBC lol.

My humour and lighthearted critism may not be appropriate to all but its straight to the point.

Medical professional help is always the best way forward.

Regards

Martin

Agree with the above with getting checked asap. There's always 111 for advice.
