Type 2 Reduced insulin doses

Type 2
In the last two weeks I have had increased incidence of night time hypos, as a result I have reduced the units of insulin. Initially I was on 76 units per day taken as two equal doses now it is 50.
I recently changed the time of doses form 6am and 6pm to 8,30am and 8.30 pm this seemed to have an effect of reducing the dosage but I have been recording GL reading in the morning when I get up mainly between 4 and 5. Thus I have steadily reduced the dose.
I feel well but just a bit anxious that something is going on that I don't comprehend.
Any advice would be welcome

Hi. Those are high units of insulin and am I right in thinking you might have some excess weight? A T2 with high insulin resistance through excess weight will often already have too much insulin in the blood but the body is unable to use it effectively. High amounts of injected insulin may be needed to have any effect. Any reduction in insulin resistance may have a big effect on insulin dosage. If you are not already having a low-carb diet then do have that and adjust your dosage as needed and it may well keep reducing. Apologies if I'm guessing wrongly.
