Regular moderate exercise log

none for me today, quads and feet aching a bit, but calves surprisingly OK.

I think maybe a bit of gentle rowing tomorrow.

Next week though, while away with work I may take my swimming trunks as the hotel has a pool.
You're in Clark Kent mode for a week then? How about your son? Is he walking with us this week?

My fitbit surge wouldn't sync/download after hubbies climb of Ben Nevis!! Gggggggrrrrrr!

However fitbit did eventually get back with suggestions how to fix it.

Thank goodness I bought it from Amazon! Notified Saturday. New one arrived today.

Lost the data for Ben Nevis though. Really annoyed about that. As usual though Amazon had no quibble, and replacement on charge now!!

2 hours walking today. Some effects starting to show. My blood sugar starting to run at lower end of normal most of the time, so may be making a reduction in basal rate if it goes on. That's encouraging for me. Still aiming to get rid of the body fat, though. My muscle:fat ratio leaves a lot to be desired. Really must get some weights.

And an interesting article about effects of exercise:

Back at work today so got off the tube one stop early and walked, lunchtime stroll and 15 flights of stairs.
Keep going guys.

The best laid plans..... In fact, what I thought would be a walking outing turned out to be sitting in cafes. I managed to work in about thirty minutes walking but it was hardly enough to offset what was consumed for breakfast! Tomorrow is another day.......

Hi Ruth, don't despair, how about a few stair climbs before bed? Or just a bit of pottering while the TV is on? I only managed a little walk today too. Numbers have been higher though as a result.

Hey Ruth.. Just get up to turn off the tv!! Got to be a calorie in that!
Good idea to go up n down stairs a few times... Unless in a flat or bungalow...
I so this currently.. In few weels times miving to a bungalow!!
Fortunately (or not!!!) I have to paint every ceiling white... Going to take a few coats as the ceilings are the same colours as the walls!!! And artexed too... Wonder how much exercise using a paint roller on celing counts as??

Hope you get more done tomorrow Ruth..x

Yes, it's not a TV-inertia problem in fact, since I hardly ever turn it on. And i potter all the time. It is more a 'fighting off the Turkish hospitality" problem!

In fact I think I didn't too badly yesterday as my blood sugars are averaging 126mg/dl (somewhere in the 5s in mmol) so far today, so obviously haven't let the exercise drop enough to affect insulin sensitivity.

And it's Eid, so here in Turkey, it's sugar, sugar everywhere:arghh:. (Maybe better to skulk at home for a few days, unseen:cool:).
