Is it normal to get insulin residue left in the bottom of the reservoir ( under the o rings ) like in the pics i atrached ? I get it every time and have done for a while ( months )

I am always very careful and thorough with filling and priming. It is always fine to start but after a day or so this happens. It is definitely insulin as it smells strongly.
I always struggle with unexplained highs in final 24 hours of my set and wondering could this be it. Am I losing insulin to this?

I don't recall this happening with my 670g pump ( started 780g last September )

Edited to add.... I must have pumped 9 units of extra insulin over around 3 hours with minimal shift in my glucose. Actually, it went up slightly.

Tested with an insulin pen and it worked right off!

Got my old 640g running now. I guess if it works fine in there then the 780g must be the issue. I will call medronic in the morning regardless.

As a side note.... has anyone switched pumps before the warranty period is up ( my clinic replaces every 3 years ) ... I so wish I had gone with the T slim

Hi @hellobear007 i haven’t come across this before- however I would assume that as long as no air is getting into the reservoir then this shouldn’t be an issue but worth a call to
Medtronic if it’s concerning you.

Same thing happened when I tried my 640g pump... I ended up with ketones 2.4 and everything rising. I don't have a reservoir from a different batch I can try.

Medtronic are triaging their calls so still waiting for a call back... same with my diabetes clinic, I only get through to the admin hub and a message is supposedly passed on!

Going back on MDI for now. Bloods already back in range.
