Hello,
I have been recommended by a friend of the family who got his diabetes under control through this site to post on here. I would like some help with understanding these numbers and their in my results, after my current results I have started with a healthy diet with cutting back on sugar, carbs, sodas, processed food. What I do not understand is that one doctor said I was within normal range so I got a consultation with another doctor and he said I'm borderline/ prediabetic has anyone experienced similar numbers. I'm currently experiencing symptoms such as feeling thirsty and urinating 10 times per day. Another question is can you have the symptoms but your results turn up as negative/ positive is that a thing?

Hba1c (Current)-5.29%
Hba1c (6 month old)-5.05%

Fasting glucose (Current)-79.7
Fasting glucose (6 month old)-92.2

C peptide (Current)-2.47
Fasting insulin-21.66

Weight-140 kg
Hright-177cm
No smoking or drinking just obese and bad relationship with food. Anyone got any advice or recommendation it would be greatly appreciated.

C peptide units?
Is it 2.47ng/ml?
Fasting insulin is high.....but sugars are normal. Hba1c also are in the normal range.

yes sorry for not adding all the units kind of new here.

C peptide 2.47 ng/ml
Insulin 21.66 uU/ml
Edit: Is it normal to feel/ experience these symptoms the doctors replies are somewhat vague.
Thank you for the help.

Is there possibly another reason for your increased frequency of urination? I have benign prostatic enlargement which causes increased frequency due to an inability to fully empty the bladder. But also, I noticed symptoms I now associate with uncontrolled diabetes prior to my blood sugars rising above normal levels - the constant tiredness, constant hunger, and sudden weight gain in particular.

My case is same. Recent values in jan.
Cpeptide 2ng/ml
Fasting insulin - 6 units
Fasting sugar 86mg/ml
Hba1c - 5.5%
I am normal/ prediabetic at 5.9% in 2019, 5.8% in 2020.
I had no symtoms except for gaining a big belly and being slightly over weight
From 2021 hba1c has been between 5.1 to 5.5%
I was feeling extremely hungry , even after eating a meal. Once i reduced my carb intake during meals, ravishing hunger is under control.

ok thank you for replying I was confused because two doctors gave conflicting diagnosis. I will keep dieting and get my weight under control then check again.
