Had my check-up tonight with Dr. Its my first 3 month blood test since i was diagnosed in September. Then it was 73. 3 months on and its 54!. She was so pleased for me. She said it usually takes quite a few drops before it gets that low, so i have been a good girl, lol. Next test in March and i am hoping for another good result.

Congratulations, its a lovely feeling isn't it to know you're on the right path, spurs you on to improve results of the next blood test.:)

Well done Tanis, an early Christmas cheer for you!!!. I know it's hard work, but to see the numbers come down must feel worth it. X

Well done! At my diagnosis I was 98 I think, and I've got my 3 month check up mid-January. I've made changes and lost nearly a stone in weight but still feel like I could be doing more, so come-on, spill, what's your secret? xx

No secret. Low carb diet. No exercise as i am disabled. I assume it was an initial drop due to diet changes and Metformin. I dont really understand how it can drop lower if i continue to do the same thing. Lost a stone in weight but thats very difficult to maintain. Christmas is coming and Tanis is getting fat! Haha.
