Reusing lancets?

I suppose if there is any signs of blood on the needle and it is reused it may give a false reading. It also states in my meter instruction book the same.

I wonder if they also make and sell lancets? There is a definite cash incentive to make us use as many as possible. I reuse until it gets blunt. I also use a cartridge, so not able to clean them. But they can just go into ordinary rubbish as there are no sharp points to injure anyone else.

I have a spring loaded 6 lancet retractable cartridge. I rotate the cartridge when it starts to hurt. Could be a couple of weeks. No problem so far.

I use them for about 6 weeks, no cleaning, no hand washing before testing, except when getting a funny reading. I just wipe away the first drop on the back of my other hand. Used lancets go in an empty bottle and in the bin.
