Right Lines!

I posted here a short time after diagnosis in May this year. Since then I have visited almost every day to check out the topics and absorb the information. After 2 months of confusion and feeling unwell on the NHS 'sensible diet' I put into action advice on here about low carbs, testing etc. I had my first 6 month check up this week. Today I can rejoice in the reduction of my HbA1C from 6.7 to 5.6 and a weight loss of 20lbs! Thank you so much for getting me on 'the right lines' by writing your informative 'lines'! At last i am confident that I can live with this thing!! :)

Well done Popsey.

Great to know this Forum and all the great Members here are making a difference. Spread the word wherever you are. :D

Well done Popsey .. you have discovered that (like many others) the advice offered by NHS staff about diet is not very helpful.
Keep up the good work and keep popping back :D

Well done popsey!
Its not an easy task going against HCP advice about a sensible diet. The HbA1c result speaks for itself! After absorbing all the great information and support on this forum I am also low carbing and have lost weight for the first time in a long time and also learnt what foods make my blood glucose go into double figures and what keeps everything steady and calm. So good to read that this way can work for a lot of people. Well done!

Gill :D
