Some years ago I was prescribed Rimonabant for weight loss. At the same time I was on Metformin and another oral tablet that I later discovered was weight positive, so I didn't lose weight, but my blood sugars came down to 6.1 from the high 9s, which I counted as a win. However, Rimonabant was apparently associated with depression and a couple of suicides, so they took it off the market. (I never had a problem with it.) Does anyone know how Rimonabant worked and whether the mechanics of it are related to oral semaglutides?
