Risk from pancreatitis

Does anyone know how much risk there is from pancreatitis?
My daughter has had gallbladder trouble, on and off this last year and was already on the list for surgery. she's now in hospital for her second or third bout of pancreatitis. They have said they'll remove her gall bladder when this flare passes. I am of course worried about the long term risks.
Does anyone happen to know the degree of risk. This pancreatitis is apparently level 1 and mild.
My daughter will be 30 this year and had a baby a year ago.( it all started about then.

If its any help I had pancreatitis when I was 29/30 had my gaul bladder removed and was told I would develop diabetes as a result. It took nearly 20 years as I was diagnosed last year type 2.
