Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has tested their blood glucose after being on a rollercoaster?!
The reason I’m asking is my trip to a theme park with my niece and nephew. I suspected that I was going to get a spike from the adrenaline of a rollercoaster and knew I shouldn’t have gone on the ride but my niece and nephew were so excited and nervous and didn’t want to go in without me.
Sure enough immediately after I felt nauseous and headachy then tired - for me how I feel when when I’ve a spike. I didn’t take my monitor as the kids don’t know. They were confident enough after the first ride I didn’t need to go on any more thankfully!
At the end of the day I felt awful and my speech was slurred, which I don’t usually get. I suppose the second question is was this either a hypo or false hypo caused by an eventual swing in the other direction? Or because my levels were high?
Either way I suppose it doesn’t matter too much, lesson learned! I’m just ever curious of what was happening to the sugar levels?
