Room 101 (like the TV prog)

@MrsB you cycle with that leg? Where have you been? Nice to have your confession. How refreshingly honest of you. Think I will just pull up a chair in the cornet. Pass the popcorn Brunneria, please.

Haha, chair in the corner! Not cornet! But then again we could be a while so I'll fetch the ice creams.

Careful any more people sitting on that fence and it might fall over!

I've been lurking but really busy. Work have been amazing and I'm able to work from home until I am able to get in so have been working for the last 2 weeks. It's great to be able to just put my dressing gown on switch on my laptop and off I go. Who needs a bath or clothes!!! :D

I would like to nominate spammers who say that if you don't want the email then all you have to do is unsubscribe. In other words, having received junk from someone they then want me to purify their database. What I do in these instances is to bounce and delete the email because I don't want to deny them the opportunity of doing their own housekeeping.

Um er...... I may or may not be guilty of a few of these. Can I plead extenuating circumstances?

- I park half on road half on pavement because our neighbours across the road moan like mad if I don't that they can't get their car out (try learning to drive properly then cos no one else in the road seems to have a problem grr)

- I cycle with my 7 yr old and although I am on the road there is no way in hell I am letting him do that yet. Too many drivers are complete nutters, plus my son is a typical boy with the concentration span of a gnat. He'd get run over in seconds. His bell warns walkers that he is coming and will be trying to go around them. Considerate I feel rather than rude

- we have 2 cars by necessity as both work in different directions and I'm part time to do school runs etc. drive is for 1 car only

I am a nice person really. Please don't put me in room 101. I'm enjoying the peace without my MIL :D

Okay @MrsB you're personally excused. Just as long as your son doesn't ding his bell at me! Not that I'd hear it with my earphones in!

Oh dear, @julifriend I almost want to put in people who cannot take exercise without having their music pushed through earphones. I don't want to judge too harshly though, so can you explain why you don't want to hear birdsong on your walks. Or for that matter bicycle bells and hooters from people like MrsB's lad?

Seriously, I wouldn't want to be out and about unable to hear what was going on. Maybe I am just too nosey for my own good.

I have never understood this either (plus the stupid headphones always fall out of my little ears as soon as I walk let alone try and run :D )

Hmm, yes. As long as you don't send me in I might get one of those whizzy chairs or scooters. I could wreak havoc and get revenge with one of those.

Of course we wouldn't put you in your much too kind to deliberately ram a persons leg or run over their foot, I rather fancy one myself as long as it does more than 2miles an hour, and has lots of lights, and has air horns that play colonel bogey.

I'm sure we wouldn't even think of putting you in, we know what a considerate driver/parker you are, and I agree your little lad should be allowed to cycle where its safe especially if the wheels on his bike are smaller than 12 inches, and I'm sure he's sensible enough not to frighten elder folk with his bell.

Well, maybe I would, but only when reversing. Or trying to negotiate a pavement full of parked cars, children on bicycles, gravel chippings from paths, or blokes with earphones in out for a walk.

Agree and would add people who hijack threads on the forum just to have a rant. If they want to rant they can come here and rant in a welcoming atmosphere with people who empathise and encourage their ranting.

I have to say, @julifriend, that diplomatic response deserves a rest for you in the tranquility of room 010. You will have access to clear pavements, where you can stroll listening to your music in peace,.

..... and your Room 101 item is .....

Confusion! Explain please @Squire Fulwood

The title of the thread is a clue. Nominating things to go in room 101 is what I understood we were doing but people seem to be arguing with each other. Mind you, it doesn't matter what the title of any thread is, before long people will be dismantling other people's comments.
