Running out of metformin

Why not explain to your dr that you have to work away? He/she should provide you with medication to cover you.

Yes, you should be able to get more than one month at a time if you ask. The only time they don't like doing this is when you are changing dosages. Yes, diet makes a lot more difference than the Metformin. My surgery has an online system. I can always do an early script saying I'm going on holiday. I also, month by month, move the date forward by a day or so. Over time I can build up a small buffer stock.
