Hi all. I have recently read that some studies are suggesting rye bread is ok for type 2. Has anyone tried rye bread? And how did it effect your levels. Thanks in advance.

You really can't tell unless you test your BG before and after eating them to see what the rise is. Check the nutritional label for grams of carbohydrate per 100g. Dr. Bernstein recommends GG Scandinavian Crispbread but they're expensive for what they are.

I found rye bread started to spike my sugars after initially being ok ( about 10 years post diagnosis)
When I want a hit of rye ( usually for smed salmon sandwich) I use this at 3,7g carbs a slice - expensive but good for an occasional treat. Also cheaper on Amazon
