What do you drink that is diabetic friendly and non alcoholic? I need something different, so am asking for suggestions. At the moment I drink;

Earl gray tea (black)
Chai tea (with either fresh lemon juice, or a new one I like fresh lime juice)
Filter coffee (either black or with single cream)
Perrier water (with fresh lemon or lime juice)

I don't like soda of any kind be it regular or diet, so what else is there?

What quenches your thirst?

I enjoy the Robinsons no added sugar squashes Jo, I have them diluted to within an inch of their lives and with plenty of ice. I also like Ginger and Lemon tea, just a slice or two of fresh ginger with a squeeze of lemon.

San Pellegrino is the new Diet Coke. Just like Diet Coke, it's much, much better when served from a cold glass bottle:

Get through at least two of these every day at work.

Ooh now you're talking..I love San Pelligrino but my finances will only allow it as an occasional treat from Caffé Nero.

Us poor folks have to get our fizzy water from Lidls-99p for 6 bottles.

Mint tea made with fresh mint leaves. Buy a plant, break off leaves when you need them -- makes a wonderfully refreshing drink.
Whitbyjet mentions berry smoothies -- would I need to make my own? They tend to cram sugars into commercial ones - or is there a brand that people would recommend? I do miss fruit juice...

San Pelligrino is owned by Nestle, the company responsible for the demise and illness of babies.

Spoil all my fun why don't you. What am I supposed to bloody drink now?

That's it, I'm off down to the shops to buy 2 liters of Diet Coke, and a Mars Bar, and it's all your fault.

You could move to Ontario, the tap water there is proper water and tastes wonderful.

Gimmie five minutes and I'll come up with another good reason to boycott mars bars.

Hi All.
I am into hot blackcurrant (sugar free) as a change from coffee's.
Ideal with the weather getting colder too...
If I need a booster to replace a coffee and keep me going!
Then I occasionally have an aldi's diet thunder can. (stimulation drink)
This is similar to a red bull but far cheaper from aldi.
These can be chilled in fridge or leave in garage (as I do)
Anna.

Tap water with a splash of Robinsons No Added Sugar, Green tea, Decaff tea and coffee, did use to like diet coke but find it leaves me bloated so don't drink it now

According to this document these are the most ethical suppliers of water (from best to worst):

I really, really, like San Pellegrino. I'm not sure that I could have the same relationship with Highland Spring. :(

Thanks BF. If I remember rightly some, if not all of those 'bad' waters are owned by the aforementioned company.

Thanks all, I completely forgot Robinson's squash. When I did the ND I lived on the stuff. I am going to take some of these suggestions up and see if I can stop being bored by what I am drinking. Food wise, I am never bored, but I do need something different to drink. In particular I like the sound of mint tea, thanks desidiabulum.

I am quite shocked, I do drink Perrier and quite a lot, I didn't realise it was an unethical company, need to readjust there I think. I can't drink tap water, the thought makes me gag, so I need to buy bottled. It's amazing even companies who supply water, such a basic human need can be unethical while doing so. Thanks Stephen and Libby for that wee eye opener.

Here are all of the brands owned by the (allegedly) baby killing "N" company:

Some of the other "less than ethical" brands are there for reasons of carbon-footprint (why fly spring water all the way from Italy when you can get it from the UK).

Sugar Free Vimto and Fruit Teas are my current favorites as they are just as nice cold as hot and I can keep a jug of them in the fridge.

Thanks Jo anna. I have never tried vimto, but maybe I should. I do have a jug I can make up a days worth in, and pop in the fridge. I think I am getting my drinks sorted out.

I am really shocked Stephen, thanks to you and Libby for opening my eyes to all of this!

I'm afraid I drink coffee by the gallon. artificial sweetener and cream
