From diabetes point of view..it doesn't matter what you eat, if it spikes your blood sugar levels..that's what is 'bad' about the eaten food. Nutritionally...well, there is nothing good about crisps neither...it is just 'empty' food. I doesn't provide anything that is healthy.

Pump
eat a packet and observe its effects on your BG........

then you can decide if or when you can indulge.......nothing should be off limits indefinitely...;)

Unlikely to be good.

Whoever is telling you it's good is probably a gibbering idiot.
Thank you for that! I eat a small bag of crisps - the ones from a multipack once or twice a week - there is 13g of carbs in a bag, I don't have a sweet tooth at all and never eat a little bit of scone or a small bit of cake or a bit of a kit Kat or even much "good" chocolate - I have just finished my dark choc from Christmas this week - crisps are my treat that I build into my food for that day - it's all about testing as the OP did to see if you can tolerate them not just taking at face value what other people say you can can't eat

Having said that a normal size bag of crisps would be too much for me @HELMAR try one of the smaller bags if you really can't do without crisps like me and test to see if you can tolerate them - you may be lucky like me it's all about portion size though.
One of my once a year treat is a crisp butty - a slice of burgen buttered with about 6 crisps - heaven!
