What brand and size was this Scotch Egg ? Most of the branded ones listed vary between 21 - 120g weight, and the carb values run from 9.7 - 15.7g carbs per 100g ?
Silly me has already cleared up and thrown the printed grease proof paper wrapper and its underneath more thrown stuff now, but I do know that it was from Elphick's Fine Meats and Pies 'extra range' (a local farm supplier). We get some of our meats from a local farm shop where Elphick has a counter, so next time we are in there I will corner the butcher and get more info ...at a rough guess I'd say this one was about 6 to 7ozs ..which I think is about 185g? Certainly hefty compared to a high street scotch egg and almost a meal on its own.

My Mum makes her own scotch eggs and they're amazing plus I know exactly what's gone into them.
Is this something you can try? I can get you the recipe

Parmesan Cheese
Ground Almonds (or other ground nuts)
Crushed Pork Rinds (fluffy pork crackling  )
