Hey all,

I'm New to this forum, as i am looking for some info. I am using novorapid and levemir flexpens and want to switch to the novopen echo's. I can order the films, no issue. But i have a lot of flexpens left.

You van open them up and take out the glass vial. This should be usable in the novopen. But im missing a screwcap.

Does anyone know if they are available or maybe even Printable? Ali expres Has adapters to use this fills to fill a omnipod with levemir penfill. But none for my predicament.

I also still have some Sanofi insulin aspart that has a similar build. I managed to cut of the screw top and mount it in the novopen. But alas, the thread is too short to pick up the needles. Guessing that is on purpose. But if i manually eject it and mout it. It works.

I would recommend using up the Flexpens - the cartridges are not designed to be used within the Echo.

Nope.
I second @In Response here. Don't mess with your pens.
Insulin dosing is such a delicate thing, you don't want to take any risks with that.

If you really don't want to finish your old pens first, you can donate them here:

Hi,

Don’t try switching the cartridges.
They might fit in an Allstar-pro pen, but your better off using the disposables till finished..

Novorapid cartridges for the reusable pens have thier own screw for the needles around the membrane.

Hi @Jean-Marc peters , you’ve had some good advice from members, moderators want to draw your attention to the advice leaflet from novonordisk that says do not refill your flexipen, which suggests they shouldn’t be opened.

(Though I suppose you could always email them and ask the question).

Personally, I'd either use them as intended, donate them or throw them away.
