I doubt that as well. It's the refined carbs and refined veg oils that are the main problems. I reversed my type 2 diabetes by eating lots of red meat and cutting out refined carbs and veg oils.
Nope, I just eat regular grain finished beef and regular eggs. Beef cattle grow up on grass, then get fattened up for about 4 months before slaughter on grains (mainly barley - and no corn) and silage/hay. Essentially the cattle do eat just grass when you consider that the grains are from grasses. They only get antibiotics if they are sick and they aren't allowed to have any antibiotics in their system when they are slaughtered (and they test for it). I live in Alberta which has very high quality beef.Is the meat you eat all grass fed? How canyou be sure that the innoculation / jabs these animals are given afen't a problem? How can you. E sure that the meat you eat really has not been given unatural feed?
I get hubbies meat from a butcher, but I'm not convinced that it is grass fed...
Having worked for a farmer I've seen them fed indoors when calving etc wheras normally they would be grass fed.
Yesterday it was said that caged bird eggs have substantially less vit d in them.
I'm genuinely interested as I do everything I can to buy organic veg but some fruit n veg its impossible.. but I guess may be less herbiceded.. ie melon?? I'm just fascinated...
I like to age my beef for a few weeks or even longer before I eat it. It's fine that way.may
maybe it is a two egged sword ... but noone really knows for sure , or if anyone does it is a well kept secret
could also be toxins from those rather old kind of meat that are sold many Places, where the date is fixed so it seems much fresher and newly slaugthered than it in fact is
It's a good thing I read the Daily Mail.If you read all the atticle from the guardian it delivers some really damning info on meat as well.....
Yes, we're all different.
As for me I can't digest meat too well. If I eat a steak I'm in bad pain for at least 3 days afterwards. I can't eat a lot of other foods either. So I had to adapt my diet and I'm still doing so to try and make all my health conditions happy. It's easier said than done though. For protein I mainly stick to chicken, fish, and eggs. If I eat red meat, it's minced. I still hurt eating that at times. But I'm conscious of deficiencies as my body already doesn't absorb iron, so I ask my doc to check all my levels now and then.
