FOOTBALL. MY husband is a sports fanatic and watches everything. Most i can put up with just not football.
I been. As i thought ,he didn't know whats been going on so gave he a quick run down of the hospital,chronic pancreatitis diagnosis and insulin thing and that he had to refer me on. He said the hospital should of done that there and then but he has done it now and within the next couple of days the Diabetic Specialist will be getting hold of me to start the insulin. Do you get side affects with insulin like you can do with tablets?
I haven't taken my pills now for 6 days and i dont feel sick. It must have been them.
Only a couple more days and i get my life back YIPPEEE!


The docs have been keeping an eye on my sugar levels and i have just been eating chicken to keep them down just until i go back on meds
 
Hi been on tablets for a long time and did not work all ways ill, then went on insulin and yes got my life back and no side affects with insulin.

Me type 1.5 lada

Only side-effect is hypo's of course, you may find that you'll bruise occasionally at the injection site but once you get to grips with injecting they'll become less frequent.

My surgery dont comunicate with each other or must not read notes on the computer about there patients. The DSN rang me a few minutes ago saying she's just had a phone call from my surgery asking for an URGENT appointment to be set up for me. She said the earliest would be next wednesday as it takes a while to go through, i then went on to tell her i have already been a week now without meds and would waiting that long be ok? She was very surprised to hear i haven't been on any then asked what my sugar levels were at. I then reminded her that because they first thought i was " ONLY" type 2 that they dont give testing strips out so i hadn't a clue what i was.


She has now got a perscription done for me for the testing strips and she might come out to my place to start me off on friday.

Dont think I'll be waiting till next Wednesday :crazy: :thumbdown:

Considering it be high, i am still feeling fab :thumbup:

Since i have a diagnosis nothing will get me down now :D
