Senior citizens are constantly being criticized for every conceivable deficiency of the modern world, real or imaginary. We know we take responsibility for all wehavedone and do not try to blame others.



HOWEVER,upon reflection, we would like to point out that it wasNOTsenior citizens who took:

Themelodyout of music,

Theprideout of appearance,

Thecourtesyout of driving,

Theromanceout of love,

Thecommitmentout of marriage,

Theresponsibilityout of parenthood,

Thetogethernessout of the family,

Thelearningout of education

TheGolden Rulefrom rulers,

Thenativityscene out of cities,

Thecivilityout of behavior,

Therefinementout of language,

Thededicationout of employment,

Theprudenceout of spending,

Theambitionout of achievement or

God out of government and school.


And we certainly areNOTthe ones whoeliminatedpatienceandtolerancefrom
personal relationships and interactions withothers!

And, weDOunderstand the meaning of
patriotism, and remember those who havefought and died for our country.






YES, I'M A SENIOR CITIZEN!

I'm the life of the party.....Even if it lasts until 8 p.m.

I'm very good at opening childproof caps.....
With a hammer.



I'm awake many hours before
my body allows me to get up.



I'm smiling all the time,
because I can't hear a thing you're saying.

I'm sure everything I can't find is
in a safe secure place, somewhere.

I'm wrinkled, saggy, lumpy,
and that's just my left leg.

I'm beginning to realize that aging is not for wimps.


Yes, I'm a SENIOR CITIZEN and I think I am having the time of my life!Now if I could only remember who sent this to me, I wouldn't send it back to them.
Or, maybe I should send it to all my friends anyway.
They won't remember, even if they did send it.

Hmmm, it seems though as a senior citizen you appear to have been responsible for taking thespacesoutfrombetweenmanyofthewordsinyourpost which tends to make it rather difficult for anyone of any age to read.

From another, concerned, senior citizen who hasn't fought for her country, but will fight for the right tb have posts that are actually easy to read and understand without having to call for interpreters!

And who has fought for the right not to have childproof caps on my meds as I'm definitely sure I'm no longer a child, and so now have a record on my pharmacist's notes advising them NOT to use them.

re child proof caps. When my son was 2, his Gran asked me to open her bottle of tablets for her. My son had never seen a child proof bottle before but he promptly took it from her, placed it upside down on the carpet so it didn't slip, pushed down and turned and then handed the open bottle to her. Voila! Whoever invented child proof bottles didn't have children.

We know we take responsibility for all we have done and do not blame others. BUT, upon reflection, we would like to point out that it was NOT the senior citizens who took:

The melody out of music,

The pride out of appearance,

The romance out of love,

The commitment out of marriage,

The responsibility out of parenthood,

The togetherness out of the family,

The learning out of education,

The service out of patriotism,

The religion out of school,

The Golden Rule from rulers,

The nativity scene out of cities,

The civility out of behavior,

The refinement out of language,

The dedication out of employment,

The prudence out of spending,

or The ambition out of achievement.

And we certainly are NOT the ones who eliminated patience and tolerance from personal relationships and interactions with others!
