Sensor Incompatible

I have bought LibreFree2 Sensor in UK and send them to a friend in Dubai. He downloaded the app. When trying to scan it says, sensor is not compatible. I asked him to download the app from the packaging and then it says the app not available in this country. Any idea how the sensor could work with the app in Dubai? Thanks

Could it be that libre are blocking their devices so you can only use a sensor on the region where it was bought? So he'd need to download the UK app (if he can, can you use VPNs for phones?) I know this is an issue for the dexcom G7

you can download diabox, it reads any sensors, but you have to activate it with a reader or a hacked libre application. It is unlikely that there are no hackers in Dubai who have bypassed this incompatibility. If this does not work, you can install a UK VPN, register a Google account for a new email, link a non-existent phone with a UK number (+44) and specify your real phone for verification, it works. A little torment and you can use libre with any phone. At least I hacked it for my phone
