severe weight loss

DM diagnosed 2009,hypotensive since 20 years, i was on glimipride .5mg daily but started developing hypoglycemia often and later switched on to glyciphage sr 500 once daily since then i am having severe weight loss ( was 67 kg in may 11 now only 61kg and very much skinny and tired) hba1c 7 i feel like stopping glyciphage, what to do.
 
Talk to your doctor ASAP. They might suggest coming off the tablets, but might prefer you take a Phased approach. Hope you get it sorted soon :)

Hi dmj I am having investigations done because of weight loss. Am I right that you are type 2? I'm not, so I cant help on that, but there could an unlining medical problem as to why you are losing weight, it may not be diabetes related. Best thing would be to see your doctor asap. I hope it all goes well for you. Best wishes RRB
