Hi, this is mainly a question for the men, I’ve had diabetes for 14 years now and only recently I have been having problems in the bed room I have googled it and apparently 30-75% of men struggle with erectile dysfunction with diabetes so just seeking some advice really and is this always going to affect me?

Thanks for the advice but how would that work if my own missus can’t get me erected!

Could be just being unfit and not your diabetes , Since the start of the pandemic even though I was not vastly obese , I weighed 13 stone and have now got down to 11 st 7 lbs , and now walk 2 - 5 miles every day my ed has dissapeared and I have never felt better ,

Somewhere like "Lovhoney" might do them..

But to be quite frank.. You may find if your BGs are out of whack? Maybe too high.? It may drop an "apathy bomb" emotionally. I don't even want to socialise with my mates if stataspheric..

Yeah, my BG’s is usually good it’s only been the last few years where I have suffered from ED so I honestly don’t know what is going on.

I really can't give advice on ED. It's all good for me when in the zone with BGs. But I'm also not a "performing seal" when a "potential" initiates a "sleepover."

Well I say partner but it was actually just someone I was dating and she was so attractive so it definitely wasn’t nothing to do with her, my diabetes is the problem for sure!

Years ago I had a problem similar to you, my GP at the time said I probably had "brewers droop', and to cut out the alcohol for six months till I came good.

It worked for me.

not T1 but this can often be diabetic related, or could be something else. But it’s something not always talked about and so it’s good you feel able to

and so… have you spoken to the doctor/nurse? I know appointments and such have been a problem in the UK so might not be possible but at every diabetic review I have ever had, it’s a question asked by the nurse. They are able to offer prescriptions if necessary to help

I went and saw me doctor around 3 year ago now and they prescribed me with viagra tablets which didn’t always work I must say.

Things have changed in 3 years and I’m not saying they will be able to help but it’s a port of call that we should use if needed. It’s very easy to conflate every issue with diabetes, but we are complex systems and anything from stress to diabetes to all sorts of other aspects can interfere

There are many different sources. I have used lovehoney and eBay. BTW don't forget the blue pill option which my DN prescribed tears ago but I don't use now.
