If you have a skin condition on your head you may want to use one for that just like anyone else with or without diabetes - I have psoriasis for example on my scalp, but that's nothing to do with my diabetes
Would love to comment on this but as the saying goes every picture tells a story lol, as a side note I can grow a full head of hair but as I’ve found out a bald head never goes out of fashion , when I had hair I used whatever I fancied at the time Body shop stuff as I remember , but diabetes was never a reason for my choice
Before I got diagnosed as a diabetic I went to the hairdresser and they told me my hair was very thin and I should avoid products that contained silicone. I still use products that avoid silicone but I tend to switch between shampoo brands cos I don’t know which one works best.
I have thinning hair, I’m T2 diet only on keto diet, my hairdresser who is also long term keto but not diabetic said it’s the keto diet and to take biotin and collagen, she said it would take 2 to 3 months to begin to notice the difference. I’ve been on them about 7 weeks and I am definitely seeing the change. I have a lot less hair loss and I’m seeing new growth and my hair feels thicker. My skin is also very good
