Shoulder Problems

I am a type 2 diabetic of 7 years. Recently I have been doing a lot more driving but I sense that isnt the reason. I am getting a lot of shoulder pain when I stretch and similarly in the mornings (after waking). Sometines the aching flips over to the other shoulder or in my arm or neck. I know that Diabetes can be attributed to this but dont quite know how to improve or exercise the issue. I have suggested to the doctor when I had a short bout of it mid last year but doctor had little advice other than rest or painkillers. Any history of this type of problem so I can try self diagnose?. I also was wondering if its worth visiting a physio etc?.

From what you have typed, I suggest you get checked out for arthritis as you sound like you have a neck and shoulders like mine .. affected by arthritis.. :( but then I am 68 :!:

Rugo,

Ask your gp to refer you to the Orthopaedics clinic at your local hospital, here they'll assess your condition and if necesary refer you for physio.
