NO! You have a voice! If it doesn't feel right for you (or your body) to hell with the doctor's opinion and you do what you know is right for you. It is your body and you have to stick up for yourself!!! xxxAfter all the trouble I have had in the last 2-3 years with this damned illness, and the side effects of Ramipril and then Metformin, I finally see a Doctor who listens to what I am telling him, or so I thought. Takes me off Metformin, and I tell him about the weight loss I have had since going low carb. So what does he do? Increases the Glimepiride from 2mg per day to 3mg per day. Then tells me "you might want to be careful with this, it may cause you to PUT WEIGHT ON. F.F.S. what is the point? I'm trying to lose weight in the hope that I may beat this, and then the vet does this to me. What the hell is the point in trying? All I seem to be doing is fighting the bloody vets all the time. I may as well give up with the chemicals altogether.

If only it was a vet. They used to have more training. A lot of us feel that we are constantly banging our heads against a wall. After all the trouble I have had in the last 2-3 years with this damned illness, and the side effects of Ramipril and then Metformin, I finally see a Doctor who listens to what I am telling him, or so I thought. Mind you they do just kill the patient if the treatment is too difficult or expensive. If only it was a vet. They used to have more training.

Actually, potentially you can get your basic human rights taken away if you do not belong to a crazy religion that provides you with an excuse to ignore them and you are labelled crazy for ignoring healthcare advice
Everything is expensive at the vets.
Not free like the NHS.
Then again, if those who don't like doctors, didn't waste their time, the NHS would be better off financially.
Do you know anyone that has?
I do.
A couple of families round here fell out with the local surgery, as it was thought that one or two of the GPs were not very good at their jobs, and were removed from their list.... not happy times.
Yeah that free NHS that only costs us £143bio a year ...
The NHS is patently not "free" as you described it - it costs. I get quite annoyed when people talk about it being free. Even more annoyed when people think that it is ok to sue the NHS.. who do they think picks up the tab for that?Well, you can always emigrate to America, and take your chance with Trumpcare, if you think it's bad here.
