Sitagliptin - Side-effects confusion

I've come off Glicacide a few weeks ago (wt gain etc) and whilst, I hoped my Pancreas would recover by now with the help of more exercise and better diet, I am beginning to think that more help may be needed. I am reading at this url ( http://www.patient.co.uk/health/Diabete ... Type-2.htm ) that the side effects are mild in relation to Sitagliptin.

As some one who does not tolerate drugs well, this is good news. What are others views on this (new to me) drug :?:
 
Hi :wave: , myself and a couple of others are having a chat about this on " changed my meds " topic. We all love it. It has stopped our appetites and wont be long before we shift that nasty weight gain from our previous pills. Like you, i was on gliclizide 320 mg a day and my weight started to pile on and now i also have less pills to take as well. :clap:

Hi. I had Sitagliptin added to my meds a year ago as Met & Glic weren't having much effect. The only side effect for me was headaches for a week. It does have one or two serious side-effects for a very few people but overall it's a good drug, but new, so knowledge still being gained and it has reduced my spikes.
